We are having a whale of a time this year -not bursting crackers though but having continuous cards/booze sessions. The cracker sale seems to have had a disastrous year due to high prices. There was more light than sounds and it was spectacular to see the fireworks from my terrace. Ofcourse we wolfed down so many sweets that we all felt stuffed up for the past three days. I was curious to read on diwali festivity as my lil daughter was asking me very many questions.. and wow i found a treasure of info at www.findnearyou.com. I was amazed to know that today is the Padwa day where all marwari(northindian as a whole i think) start their new businesses. Write new ledgers and have a financial year start after the Lakshmi Puja.
Had a great diwali and enjoying the looooooooooooooooooooong weekend.
